Democrat Stephanie Hansen went up against Republican John Marino for the 10th district state senate seat in Delaware on February 25th in a special election. Democrat Bethany Hall-Long was recently-elected lieutenant governor and left the seat open. If the Republicans were able to take the seat, they would also stop the Democratic majority in the Senate and possibly impede Democrat Gov. John Carney Jr.
